If you walk into any Apple store in Singapore, today, you will see these prices staring at you. For a person who has a keen eye, you will realize that the prices for the iPhone 11 is a bit off.

The iPhone 11 is the upgraded version or the replacement, if you could call it that of the iPhone XR that was released in the previous year. Apple released the iPhone XR for about $1229 in 2018 and the cost of the 64GB iPhone 11 is about $1149.
This means Apple is really pushing for users to purchase the new phone and not wait for the prices of the XR to go down. This is an unprecedented move in Apple’s history as generally, Apple has increased the prices year on year.
But Apple hasn’t increased or decreased the prices for the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. This is also quite telling and Apple wants to ensure that people buy their latest phones and not the older version.
This is a smart move from Apple to push people to buy the latest phones, but the main problem still lies in the fact that, the prices for the XS and XS Max will drop and will be lesser than the Pro and Pro Max.

Display and Screen Size
The primary difference between the 11 and the 11 Pro models is the camera. The camera is the only major difference. When it comes to the display, the iPhone 11 has a 6.1-inch display and the iPhone 11 Pro is slightly smaller at 5.8-inch and the iPhone 11 Pro Max is the biggest at 6.5-inch.
Storage
In terms of the storage, Apple has released the usual suspects for the iPhone 11. It has 64GB, 128GB and 256GB versions. While the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have the 64GB, 256GB and 512GB. My gripe with Apple is, instead of skipping the 128GB versions for the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, they should have skipped the 64GB version. But this again is a tactic to make people pay extra for the 128GB version.
Colour Options
Apple has been accused of being monotonic, with the same colours released every year. But this year they have changed things up and added a few colour options that have already caught a lot of people’s imagination.
This year’s colour theme is termed ‘Industrial’.

iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have the following colour options - Gold, Silver, Space Grey and Midnight Green.
The Midnight Green is the one that is being advertised a lot by Apple. It looks pretty incredible.
Form Factor and Design
All the iPhone models have a glass back design which is refreshing and looks ridiculously good. But it also means, they can break easily and have to be protected by a phone case. When it comes to the front display, the new iPhone models still have a notch as its an essential part of the camera experience.
The Cameras
One of the most talked about topics this year is the camera. Apple spent a good amount of time promoting the cameras and its capabilities.
As you might already know, the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have 3 cameras which is a first for Apple.
So what improvements does this bring?

The two features that Apple is promoting widely is the Night Mode and the Ultra Wide shooting capabilities, thanks to the new Ultra Wide lens.
The Night Mode feature makes the iPhone camera even better with brilliant shots taken in lowlight. The other important upgrade is the Ultra Wide lens which are categorized as Ultra Wide(13mm), Wide(26mm) and Telephoto(51mm).
The cameras shoot brilliant single photos and also panorama photos. There are numerous other features such as ‘Capture outside the frame’ feature which uses the wide angle lens to give you better image projection on your frame.
The pro models also have two types of portrait modes that are zoomed in type and the pull back type too.
Waterproof
Apple's new iPhones are much more rugged and tougher than its predecessors. The phones are waterproof too that can be underwater for 30 minutes for up to 4 metres.
Battery Life
Apple has weird specs when it comes to their battery life. They don’t mention the mAh and they don’t mention the number of hours it will work for. But the iPhone 11 Pro’s battery is expected to be slightly better than the iPhone XS by about 4 hours and the iPhone XS Max will have a better battery life by about 5 hours.
The End of 3D Touch
The 3D touch phenomenon is absolutely dead. But they do use Haptic touch, which was touted to be an advancement over the 3D touch.
